Volksbanks Christmas Concert

As in previous years, Volksbank Malta once again invited customers, business partners, employees and their families to an evening of traditional Austrian Christmas songs. The event, hosted by Managing Director Herbert Skok, took place in the Salesian Theatre in Sliema, which was lovingly decorated to reflect the Christmas spirit.
For this year's event, the bank invited five musicians from East Tyrol to entertain the guests with a lovely mixture of Christmas songs, played on guitars and trumpet. "Sang und Klang Osttirol" is made up of two families from the village Matrei, where the tradition of families singing and making music together is still kept alive.
During the break, the guests were treated to home-made Austrian Christmas sweets and a cup of freshly prepared mulled wine, which added to the Christmas atmosphere of the evening.
"Once again, the Christmas Concert was very well attended by our customers, business partners and members of the Austrian and German Community" Mr. Skok explained. "And we are very proud that the Austrian Ambassador, Dr. Gudenus, the Slovak Ambassador, Mr. Stanislav Vallo, and the Honoray Consul of Slovakia, Godwin Bencini, also enjoyed the event very much."
